Picturessss

So we did the shoot on Friday the 25th. It went really well I think, and I've spent most of the weekend editing photos so hopefully I've got some good ones :)
Here they areeee

We went for the circus / fairground, doll / mime, good / bad kind of scenario. I tried to put in a stripey background to give it more of a circus-y feel, but it didnt end up looking too good so I didnt include any of them. The model just ended up looking quite flat against the background and I couldnt get it looking realistic. I like the balloons and streamers in the first few photos cause they kind of get across the theme of the fairground / circus. And I think the clothes, make up and poses in the last few because they help to get across the mime-ish feeling that we wanted in the photographs.

Circus / Fairground theme

So, we have decided on a circus / fairground themed  set of images. I think this could be really cool if we get it looking right!

These are just some photos that I found when researching this theme. I like the top image because it shows the fairground theme really well I think. I especially like how the props (balloons) and background helped to show where the photograph was shot.
The lower photograph is some make-up which I think looks really cool. Could have like, a doll / mime effect on the image. It's pretty cool :)

More fashion photographs..

Check these out! I really like the top two photos because they're so strange looking and different. I think my favourite is the mermaids one because it looks really surreal and actually like it was taken from underwater, in a scene like this, when really it is obviously constructed.
I also like the top right image because it is also very strange looking. You wouldnt normally see a man with a lion's head in many other images. I also like how the models have been made to look like royalty in this image, maybe to show that lions are supposed to be the kings. I think the clothing and the background helps to show this.

Nick Knight

So here I am, back again. And here is a photograph by Nick Knight. I really like his photographs cause they're kind of crazy. Like in this one, there's definately something wrong with this girl's eye. And she seems to have a safety pin in her forehead. That's cool. I like the whole Photoshopping side of photography. And also, I think this one looks really cool because it looks kind of ghostly. There's obviously the eye thing which is making this look ghostly, but also because of the blue tint to the model's skin and the fact that she looks really pale. I like supernatural-ish looking photographs.

This is another Nick Knight photograph. Less ghostly, but equally awesome. I really love crazy outfits and editing. The dress in this photo kind of confuses me. I dont know where it ends and the model's head starts. Its weird. In a really cool way.

So yeah, bloggers. There you have Nick Knight.
More soon.
